About John W Myers Inc

Located at 529 E Stroop Rd, Dayton, OH 45429, John W Myers Inc operates as an endodontist serving Dayton in Ohio. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as dentist, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Dental specialists complete two to six extra years of training after dental school and usually work on referral from a general dentist, although most accept patients who call directly. Orthodontists straighten teeth with braces and clear aligners; endodontists handle root canals; periodontists treat gum disease and place implants; oral and maxillofacial surgeons extract wisdom teeth, place implants and do jaw surgery, often under IV sedation; prosthodontists rebuild smiles with crowns, bridges and dentures; denture centers focus on full and partial dentures, relines and repairs. Sedation and hospital dentists serve anxious patients and people with special needs, while TMJ and sleep-apnea dentists make oral appliances for jaw pain and snoring.

Today, November 20, 2025, my husband was a returning patient at Dr. John W. Myers DDS MSD’s office, and once again, the experience was exceptional! Previously, he had a root canal here, and our teenage son was also treated for a root canal at this office. From start to finish, everything was handled with professionalism and care. Chris was amazingβ€”not only did she make scheduling easy and stress-free, but she was also present during and after the procedure. Her assistance was invaluable, and she made the patient a priority at every turn. Her kindness and attentiveness truly stood out. Dr. Myers is outstandingβ€”caring, professional, and highly skilled. He explained every step of the procedure clearly and checked in often to ensure the patient was comfortable and at ease. His attention to detail and genuine concern for patient well-being make a big difference. The entire team creates a welcoming and reassuring environment, which makes dental procedures far less intimidating. I highly recommend Dr. Myers and his staff to anyone in need of specialized dental care. They consistently go above and beyond!

If I could leave no stars I would. They are very rude dismissive and racist. Which is unfortunate cuz whether white or black we all got the same teeth. My husband was late to an appointment because of an emergency and because he thought the appointment was at a different time. Then he called to reschedule and they refused him services and told him since he was late the first time he cant come to the office and has to find someone else. But they were very rude, condescending, and unprofessional especially the front office lady. If ur skins not lightly colored just dont even call them smh

The good: β€’ Dr. Myers is very personable and friendly. He introduced himself by his first name, shook my hand, and stayed engaged throughout the procedure. β€’ The job was done quickly, and it's been fine since. The bad: β€’ No pre-authorization was done for my insurance and no discussions were had about potential cost. I just get a bill a couple months later for more than $1,000 for the 60 minute root canal. β€’ This place is completely devoid of technology. No computers, all charts are on paper, x-rays on film, etc. It looks like my dentist's office from the 80's and is run similarly. β€’ There is one person who works here other than Dr. Myers, and she doubles as a dental assistant and receptionist, which means it's nearly impossible to call and talk with someone. Dr. Myers forgot to call in my antibiotics and it took three phone calls to get that accomplished. β€’ Some of the discussion while I was being worked on was definitely not politically correct - it didn't bother me, but I can easily see where some people could take exception.

I was referred by my general dentist for a root canal and was nervous like most people. Dr. Myers and staff immediately made me feel at ease immediately. My expierience was great. He explained everything thoroughly, I didn't feel any pain and felt comfortable the whole time. I would recommend him to anyone that needs a root canal.

I was referred to Β Dr. Myers office for having root canal and I was initially a bit nervous about the procedure, but Dr. Myers assured me that Β I would be comfortable during the process and I really was Β and felt absolutely no pain! He was gentle and would explain every step to me and kept checking if I was doing fine or not. Also, before the procedure he took X-rays and did cold and hot testing to make sure that is working on the right tooth. I definitely recommend Dr. Myers and if you are someone like me who is a little concerned about having root canal, know Β that he is the right doctor!
